📉 Single Figure Summer

🏌️‍♂️Handicap Hustle: From 15 to 9 in 6 months

Hey, it's your boy Andy here, and I've got a challenge for myself this summer. I love golf, and I'm always looking for ways to improve my game. So, I'm setting a goal to go from a 15 handicap to a 9 handicap by the end of the summer. That's right, I'm aiming to shave six strokes off my game in just a few short months.

Now, I know what you're thinking. That's a tall order, Andy. How are you going to pull that off? Well, let me tell you, I've got a plan, and it involves a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. And by tears, I mean the tears of my opponents when they see me crushing it on the golf course.

My current handicap (April 2023)

First things first, I'm meeting with my golf coach and get him on board with my plan. I need someone who's going to push me to my limits and help me identify my weaknesses. It will be like Rocky and Mickey, but instead of boxing, it will be golf.

Next up, I’m going to practice like crazy. I'm talking about swinging until my arms fall off, chipping until my hands bleed, and putting until my eyes go crossed. I'll be out there rain or shine, grinding like a pro.

But it's not just about the physical aspect of the game. Golf is also a mental game, and I need to get my head right if I'm going to get that 9 handicap. So, I'm going to work on my mental toughness, relaxation, visualisation techniques, and pre-shot routine. It's all about staying focused and keeping my eye on the prize.

And you know what? I'm not going to do this alone. I'm going to bring you guys along for the ride. I'll be posting updates on my progress, sharing my insights and experiences, and celebrating my successes (and failures) along the way here and on Insta (@andyggolf)

So, there you have it, folks. I'm setting a big goal for myself this summer, and I'm not stopping until I hit that 9 handicap. It's going to be a wild ride, but I'm ready for the challenge. Let's go.
